In this lesson I will teach you the sum and difference of two cubes. You want to have watched the previous lessons on polynomials before watching this lesson. The sum and difference of two cubes is very much like the rules we learned in special case polynomial multiplication. The rules are very similar but the sum and difference of two cubes have formulas that are a little bit longer. Please be careful when using the rules as they are all very similar and easy to confuse with one another- use your notes when practicing. Remember one of the most important reasons we are studying these special case polynomial multiplication rules is to help us factor polynomials. As you continue to study algebra you will come to understand that your ability to factor a polynomial will be directly tied to your ability to solve problems. So continue to take good notes and practice as much as you can.
