In algebra when we factor a polynomial we always start with the GCF( greatest common factor). I know you might have some fancy algebra factoring skills but don’t apply any of them in a factoring problem until you find the GCF. ┬áSometimes a polynomial will not have a gcf so in those cases use your algebra super powers to factor the polynomial. Look at the examples below to refresh your memory on the gcf and keep it in mind when faced with factoring problems in algebra- good luck!
