In this lesson I will teach you how to find the equation of a line given two points that lie on that line. The first thing you have to do is find the slope by using the given two points – so make sure to review the slope if you need to. Once you have the slope and the two given points on the line it’s easy just use the point-slope formula. If you watched the other lessons in the chapter you know I’m a big fan of the point-slope formula because it’s direct, straight forward and works for all situations. Please practice as much as you can as finding the equation of a line is a critical algebra skill.
