In this lesson we will learn how to find the equation of a line when you are given it’s slope and one point that lies on the line. An example problem would be find the equation of the line in y=mx + b form that has a slope of 3 and goes through the point (1, 9). Now if you watched the other lessons in the chapter you will have a few methods to find the equation. I prefer the point-slope formula so I would suggest using that method as your primary approach. However you want to be able to find the equation using all methods we learn. Good luck and make sure you take good notes- this stuff is extremely important in algebra!
